Well, I think that's enough time for Typh to run away so that he can shock her and give them the chance to take her down. So maybe not exactly where they started!

Certainly what I expect to happen now. Just though Baldy here would be made of sterner stuff after a full page spread to announce his arrival.

If he's been "The Cook" for a while, he could be a bit out of practice. And Tiff has inherited ALL of Typh's warrior skills, as has been repeatedly and bloodily demonstrated in recent pages. Probably he's lost his edge over time.
